Back Again

As most of you know, I am back at school again and just started my 3rd semester at Providence. I am enjoying being back after a wonderful Christmas break at home. I really enjoyed spending time with family and friends. It was a great time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. Along with all the different Christmas celebrations, I had the privilege to attend 2 weddings. The first one was for Julie Vanden Heuvel, a staff member at Providence. The wedding was gorgeous and it was fun to see her and Steve so happy. The 2nd wedding was for Kassi Weerheim and Darren Van Vliet. Kassi and I have been friends since we were three and have always enjoyed hanging out when I am home. Kassi and Darren’s wedding was absolutely beautiful, Kassi looked stunning in her princess like dress and Darren had a smile on his face all night.

I got back to school on Monday, January 5 in early afternoon. I was excited to get back to school because my friend Meg was still in town visiting her boyfriend/fiancé. That night a group of us went bowling which was a lot of fun. I talked to Meg a lot about her wedding and other plans. Brian and Meg are getting married this summer on August 14. I am very excited to go up to Washington this summer to see them get married.

The rest of this week has been pretty relaxed. I started my classes and received all of my syllabi. Right now I am not too overwhelmed with my class load this semester. I am really excited for my Educational Psychology class. It seems like it’s going to be very interesting class and that I will learn a lot. I am looking forward to getting more in depth. I am still working in the CafĂ© (Providence Kitchen) this semester and working at my church once every other Thursday for the MOPs program. It will most likely be a pretty busy semester.
Friday was Benjamin’s 17th birthday. I can’t believe it. My family went to RC’s homecoming and then Ben had friends over afterwards for a birthday party. On Saturday, Ben had homecoming and Winter Banquet. It was hard not be home to see him go off all dressed in his suit.
