Thanksgiving

Hello my faithful readers. I am so sorry that I haven’t written in a few weeks. I have been swamped with school work and many other things. I just got back to school after an amazing Thanksgiving break at home. I very much enjoyed being at home with my family and hanging out with friends. This year I brought along my friend Josh (from Rock Valley, IA). It was fun to show him where I grew up and all that jazz. Josh’s mom and dad actually used to live in Farmington and attended Escalon CRC. He enjoyed seeing where his parents spent their time when they were first married and where his twin sisters were born.
Thanksgiving day we spent the day at Oma and Opa’s house. As usual we ate the traditional Thanksgiving meal. Sitting at the dinner table we ate, talked, and laughed. After eating we sat around the table and played cards for many hours. It was a fun time to laugh and just enjoy each other’s company.
Friday, popularly known as Black Friday, started out pretty early. Josh, Aimee, Lauryn and I entered Target, coffee in one hand, money ready to be spent in the other. The place was a zoo, but we enjoyed looking through the plethora of sale items. To our surprise, we ended up getting in and out in only one hour. After Target we headed to the mall. Another later we were walking out, shopping bags in hand.

The rest of the long weekend was spent hanging out with friends and family, eating lots of food, and relaxing. This break was by far my most favorite break that I have ad since I started college. It was the first time that I did not want to come back to school. Don’t get me wrong, I love Providence and all the people here; however I do not love the school work. It is so difficult to try and balance everything. Only 9 more days until I will be home again for Christmas break. I am looking forward to be able to relax at home and not have to worry about any school work.
